Environmental Issues

The Environmental Affairs Program assists NWFPA members in dealing with matters of environmental concern by improving the communication between state and federal regulatory agencies and NWFPA members.  NWFPA monitors the actions of national food processing associations as they relate to environmental matters and renders assistance to members in their contact with regulatory agencies.

The Environmental Affairs Program deals with issues such as wastewater, TMDLs, pesticides, air issues, land application, and much more.
