Government Affairs & Legislation

NWFPA's Government Affairs program includes the development of policy and strategy for addressing issues of interest; encourages involvement in legislative and electeral processes by company managers, NWFPA member employees, industry suppliers and coalitions; developes and advocates industry positions to state legislatures and agencies through the use of staff, members, and consultants; informs the public of industry issues; and monitors and evaluates industry effectiveness in federal government affairs.  NWFPA also coordinates with national and regional associations on issue monitoring, analysis, policy and strategy whenever it is consistent with NWFPA's mission.
