Sourcing in Seattle: Lessons from the Sourcing Community and its Impact on Recruiting Organizations
Sourcing is the new 'black' in recruiting whether it's finding new and unique ways of unearthing hard-to-find talent, proactively building talent communities, managing social media campaigns, or head-down-elbows-up lead generation, people are talking about it.
We have a thriving sourcing community here in the greater Seattle area that is making waves in the global sourcing world, and for our luncheon discussion in September, we are pleased to bring you a panel of individuals who are leading the charge locally and beyond when it comes to demonstrating the importance of sourcing to an overall recruiting strategy. Since all recruiters need to have at least some sourcing knowledge, we are positive that this panel discussion will impact every single attendee and provide you with some new ideas to bring back to your teams whether it's a simple solution you've been looking for or a thought process around organizational structure.
Please join us as we invite Michelle Geocaris of Starbucks Coffee Company, Mat Connot of Zynga, and Sandon Smith of T-Mobile to share their sourcing stories. Our panelists come from all walks of life, and each of them at some point in their career has been an individual sourcing contributor within a recruitment organization. Moderated by Jeremy Langhans of Starbucks Coffee Company, from this group you can expect:
- To learn about the first NWRA SIG (the Sourcing 7) and how it has positively impacted the local recruiting community in just 24 months
- To meet some of the champions of sourcing within the NWRA and learn about why they think sourcing is such an important piece of the recruiting puzzle
- To get some ideas for starting and growing a successful sourcing team
- To understand more about what sourcing consists of and what it doesn't
- To learn how to foster effective relationships between sourcing and recruiting
- To learn how sourcing impacts more business areas than just recruiting you may be surprised!
We hope you will join us for this unique panel discussion on Thursday, September 29.
